Many employees feared job losses at Bulmers manufacturer C&C now feel safe due to company talks of an expansion. C&C is now talking about expanding into Finland and Sweden. They are looking at the United States and waiting for signs that show potential for growth. Mr. Dunsmore the Chief Executive officer revealed the 80pc of on trade outlets, included pubs and hotels have passed on only 7pc of 10pc decrease in the price of its pints. CC is looking to acquire the Tennents brand in Scotland from Anheuser-Busch InBev’s (ABI) and the distribution rights from ABI for the drinks Becks and Stella Artois in Ireland. That of course must be approved by the stockholders and is expected to cost approximately €205m. The stockholder vote won’t occur though until October. Accordingly the sales volumes have increase by 3 pc in Ireland and have stayed steady for the Scottish & Newcastle areas. There is expected to be a profit of €77m-€82m.
